미∙한∙일∙영∙스웨덴 등 10개국, 6G 통신기술 개발 ‘협력∙단결’ 공조 합의 > 세계

미국과 한국, 일본, 영국 등 10개국이 안전한 차세대 무선통신망 도입을 위해 협력하기로 합의했습니다.
Ten countries, including the United States, South Korea, Japan, and the United Kingdom, have agreed to cooperate to introduce safe next-generation wireless networks.

백악관이 26일 공개한 공동성명에 따르면 이들 10개국은 6세대(6G) 무선통신체계 연구와 개발과 관련한 ‘안전성∙개방성∙복원성’ 원칙에 합의했습니다.
According to a joint statement released by the White House on the 26th, these 10 countries agreed on the principles of "safety, openness, and resilience" related to the research and development of the 6th generation (6G) wireless communication system.

공동성명은 각국이 협력해 개방적이고 자유로우며 국제적이고 상호운용 가능한 연결성을 지원할 수 있음을 확인하며, 안정적이고 탄력적이며 안전한 6G 연결성을 지향한다고 밝혔습니다.
The communique confirms that countries can work together to support open, free, international and interoperable connectivity, and it aims for stable, resilient and secure 6G connectivity.

공동성명은 ‘협력과 단결’이 6G 개발과 관련한 시급한 도전 해결에 핵심이라면서, 각국이 관련 정책을 채택하고 제3국에도 이를 장려하며 이 원칙을 충족하는 6G 통신망 연구 개발과 표준화를 진전시킬 것이라고 강조했습니다.
The communique emphasized that "cooperation and unity" is key to resolving urgent challenges related to 6G development, and that countries will adopt relevant policies, encourage third countries to do so, and advance research and development and standardization of 6G communication networks that meet this principle.

이를 위해 6G 기술 개발에 참여하는 정부와 파트너들의 국가안보를 보호하는 신뢰할 수 있는 기술 개발과, 개인정보에 대한 안전하고 탄력적인 보호, 글로벌 업계가 주도하는 포괄적 6G 국제 기술표준 지향을 원칙으로 삼는다고 밝혔습니다.
To this end, the company said it will focus on developing reliable technologies to protect the national security of governments and partners participating in 6G technology development, safe and flexible protection of personal information, and comprehensive 6G international technology standards led by global industries.

아울러 이를 바탕으로 관련 하드웨어∙소프트웨어 공급업체 간 원활한 상호운용을 가능케 하며, 디지털 격차를 해소할 수 있는 6G기술을 표방하고 개발도상국에서도 널리 사용할 수 있는 6G 기술 개발 등을 도모한다고 덧붙였습니다.
Based on this, it will enable smooth interoperability between related hardware and software suppliers, advocate 6G technology that can bridge the digital gap, and develop 6G technology that can be widely used in developing countries.

이같은 움직임은 최근 미국 등이 기존 5G기술 등을 놓고 벌인 중국과의 무선통신기술 경쟁에서 이기기 위한 노력을 계속해온 가운데 나온 것입니다.
The move comes as the U.S. and other countries have recently continued their efforts to win the wireless communication technology competition with China over existing 5G technologies.

공동성명에는 미국과 한국, 일본, 영국, 호주, 캐나다, 체코, 핀란드, 스웨덴 프랑스 등이 참여했습니다.
The United States, Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden and France participated in the joint statement.
