기시다 후미오 일본 총리와 시진핑 중국 국가주석은 29일 양국 수교 50주년을 맞아 축전을 주고받았습니다.

이후 기시다 총리는 기자들에게 시 주석과의 정상회담 계획은 없다고 밝히면서도 지속적인 대화를 통해 양국이 우려하는 문제들을 풀어나가길 바란다고 밝혔습니다.
Prime Minister Kishida later told reporters that he had no plans for a summit with Xi, but that he hoped the two countries would resolve their concerns through continuous dialogue.

시 주석은 1972년 수교로 양국 관계가 “새로운 장”을 열었다며 이후 양국은 교류와 협력을 강화했다고 말했습니다.
Xi said the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1972 opened a "new chapter" in bilateral relations and that the two countries have since strengthened exchanges and cooperation.

At a reception, the Chinese ambassador to Japan pointed out that the relationship between the two countries is in a new historical starting line, and stressed that it will be a very important turning point.
