필리핀, 인도와 미사일 도입 계약…3억 7천 500만 달러 규모 > 세계

필리핀이 인도에서 약 3억 7천 500만 달러 규모의 대함 미사일을 들여오는 계약을 체결했습니다.
The Philippines has signed a contract to bring in about $375 million worth of anti-ship missiles from India.

델핀 로렌자나 필리핀 국방장관은 15일 사회연결망 서비스 페이스북을 통해 이 같은 규모의 인도산 대함 미사일 시스템을 도입하기로 했다고 밝혔습니다.
Philippine Defense Minister Delphine Lorenzana said on the 15th that he has decided to introduce an Indian anti-ship missile system of this size through social network service Facebook.

이번 계약에 따라 인도 측은 ‘브라모스 미사일’을 갖춘 포대 3개와 함께 운영, 유지, 수송 등을 지원하게 되며, 해당 미사일은 필리핀 해변에 배치될 예정입니다.
Under this contract, India will support operation, maintenance, and transportation along with three batteries equipped with "Bramos missiles," and the missiles will be placed on beaches in the Philippines.

인도가 러시아와 공동 개발해 1989년부터 실전 배치한 브라모스 미사일은 가장 빠르고 파괴력이 강한 순항미사일 중 하나로 꼽힙니다.
The Brahmos missile, jointly developed by India with Russia and deployed since 1989, is considered one of the fastest and most destructive cruise missiles.

필리핀은 인도에서 브라모스 미사일을 도입하는 첫 나라입니다.
The Philippines is the first country to introduce Brahmos missiles from India.

‘로이터’ 통신은 이번 대함 미사일은 200해리의 배타적 경제수역(EEZ)을 침범하는 외국 함정을 퇴치하는 게 목표라고 설명했습니다.
Reuters explained that the anti-ship missile aims to combat foreign ships invading 200 nautical miles of exclusive economic zone (EEZ).

지난해 11월 남중국해 세컨드 토마스 암초 지역에서는 중국 함정 3척이 필리핀의 군용 물자보급선에 물대포를 쏘며 갈등을 빚었습니다.
In November last year, three Chinese ships fired water cannons at the Philippines' military supply ships in the Second Thomas reef of the South China Sea, causing conflicts.
