아이티에서 지난 16일 미국에 기반을 둔 기독교 선교단체 회원 17명이 납치되는 사건이 발생했습니다.

미국 오하이오 주에 본부를 둔 선교단체 ‘크리스찬 에이드 미니스트리’는 이날 회원들이 아이티의 수도 포르토프랭스 인근 크루아 데 부케 지역의 고아원을 방문한 뒤 이동하던 중 납치됐다고 발표했습니다.
The Ohio-based missionary organization Christian Aid Ministry announced that its members were kidnapped while traveling to an orphanage in the croissant de Bouquet area near Porto-Prince, the capital of Haiti.

납치된 회원 가운데 16명은 미국 시민, 1명은 캐나다 국적이라고 이 단체는 밝혔습니다.
Of the kidnapped members, 16 are U.S. citizens and one is Canadian, the organization said.

아이티 수사당국은 ‘400의 마와조’라는 조직폭력단체를 배후로 지목한 가운데 이 범죄단체는 올해에만 5명의 사제와 2명의 수녀를 납치한 이력이 있다고 밝혔습니다.
