조 바이든 미국 대통령이 이달 29일 프란치스코 교황을 만납니다.

백악관은 14일 바이든 대통령과 질 바이든 여사가 오는 30일부터 이틀간 열리는 주요 20개국 정상회의 참석차 이탈리아를 방문하면서 교황을 만날 예정이라고 밝혔습니다.
The White House said on the 14th that President Biden and Mrs. Jill Biden will meet the Pope while visiting Italy to attend the two-day summit of 20 major countries starting on the 30th.

바이든 대통령이 G20 정상회의 하루 전인 29일 바티칸 시티를 방문해 교황을 만날 예정입니다.
President Biden will visit Vatican City on the 29th, a day before the G20 summit, to meet the Pope.

백악관은 두 사람이 신종 코로나바이러스 종식과 기후 위기 대응, 빈곤층 보호 등을 포함한 인간 존엄 문제를 논의할 것이라고 말했습니다.
The White House said the two will discuss issues of human dignity, including the end of the new coronavirus, response to the climate crisis, and protection of the poor.

독실한 가톨릭 신자로 알려진 바이든 대통령은 역대 미국 대통령 중 존 F 케네디 전 대통령에 이어 두 번째 가톨릭 신자입니다.
President Biden, known as a devout Catholic, is the second Catholic of all U.S. presidents after former President John F. Kennedy.

한편, 백악관은 바이든 대통령이 G20 정상회의 일정 뒤엔 영국 글래스고로 넘어가 11월 1∼2일 제26차 유엔기후변화 당사국총회(COP26)에 참석할 예정이라고 밝혔습니다.
Meanwhile, the White House said President Biden will move to Glasgow, England, after the G20 summit, to attend the 26th General Assembly of the Parties to Climate Change (COP26) from November 1 to 2.
