독일 “COI 보고서 발표 10년째 북한 인권 상황 진전 없어” > 사회

독일 정부가 유엔 북한인권조사위원회(COI) 최종 보고서 발표 10주년을 맞아 북한 정권에 인권 문제 해결을 촉구했습니다.
The German government has urged the North Korean regime to resolve human rights issues on the 10th anniversary of the announcement of the final report of the UN Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights in North Korea.

독일 외무부는 16일 VOA의 관련 논평 요청에 “COI 보고서가 발표된 지 10년이 지났지만 우리는 북한의 전반적인 인권 상황과 관련해 어떤 진전의 조짐도 보지 못하고 있다”고 밝혔습니다.
Germany's Foreign Ministry said in response to VOA's request for comment on the 16th, "It has been 10 years since the COI report was published, but we do not see any signs of progress regarding the overall human rights situation in North Korea."

[독일 외무부] “Ten years after the publication of the report of the Commission of Inquiry, we see no indications of progress whatsoever regarding the general human rights situation in the DPRK. We call on the DPRK to immediately end all human rights violations, to engage with the international community, including the special rapporteur and the OHCHR, in a meaningful dialogue. We also call on the DPRK to cooperate with the UN and to allow their staff back into the country.”

이어 “우리는 북한이 모든 인권 침해를 즉각 중단하고 (유엔) 특별보고관과 유엔 인권기구(OHCHR)를 포함한 국제사회와 의미 있는 대화에 관여할 것을 촉구한다”고 덧붙였습니다.
"We urge North Korea to immediately stop all human rights violations and engage in meaningful dialogue with the international community, including the (U.N.) Special Rapporteur and the U.N. Human Rights Organization (OHCHR)," he added.

또한 “북한이 유엔과 협력하고 유엔 직원의 복귀를 허용할 것도 촉구한다”고 독일 외무부는 밝혔습니다.
"We also urge North Korea to work with the United Nations and allow the return of its personnel," the German foreign ministry said.

COI는 10년 전인 2014년 2월 17일 최종 보고서를 발표했습니다.
released its final report 10 years ago on February 17, 2014.

보고서는 북한에서 최고 지도층에서 수립된 정책과 결정에 따라 조직적이고 광범위하며 심각한 반인도적 범죄가 자행돼 왔으며, 여전히 계속되고 있다고 지적했습니다.
According to the report, organized, widespread and serious crimes against humanity have been committed in North Korea in line with policies and decisions established by the highest leadership, and continue to be committed.
