뉴질랜드, 러시아 제재 단행…북한 무기 조달 관여 개인 포함 > 정치

미국과 유럽연합(EU), 영국에 이어 뉴질랜드도 우크라이나 전쟁 발발 2년에 맞춰 러시아에 대한 제재를 단행했습니다.
Following the United States, the European Union and the United Kingdom, New Zealand also imposed sanctions on Russia in time for the two years of the war in Ukraine.

뉴질랜드는 29일 러시아의 제재 회피를 가능하게 하거나 러시아가 우크라이나에 사용할 군사 장비 조달 및 이전을 촉진함으로써 러시아에 물질적 또는 전략적 지원을 하는 개인 45명과 단체 16곳을 제재 목록에 추가했습니다.
New Zealand on Monday added 45 individuals and 16 groups to its sanctions list who provide material or strategic support to Russia by enabling Moscow to evade sanctions or facilitating the procurement and transfer of military equipment to be used by Moscow in Ukraine.

그러면서 여기에는 북한으로부터 무기를 조달하는 데 관여한 개인들도 포함됐다고 밝혔습니다.
He also said that this included individuals involved in procuring weapons from North Korea.

윈스턴 피터스 뉴질랜드 외무장관은 이날 보도자료를 통해 “이번 새 제재는 우크라이나에 대한 러시아의 침략 전쟁 자금 조달 능력을 손상시키고 뉴질랜드가 제재 회피 통로로 사용되지 않도록 하기 위한 국제 공동의 노력에 뉴질랜드가 기여한 것”이라고 밝혔습니다.
New Zealand's Foreign Minister Winston Peters said in a press release that the new sanctions "contribute to New Zealand's concerted international efforts to undermine Russia's ability to finance its war of aggression against Ukraine and ensure that the country is not used as a route to avoid sanctions."

[피터스 장관] “These new designations are a contribution by New Zealand to collective international efforts to impair Russia’s ability to fund its war of aggression against Ukraine, and ensure New Zealand is not used as a channel for sanctions evasion…The sanctions underscore New Zealand’s steadfast condemnation of Russia’s unprovoked and unjustifiable war against Ukraine, as we reach the two-year point since the February 2022 full-scale invasion,” Mr Peters says.”

In particular, it added, "This sanction underscores New Zealand's firm condemnation of Russia's unprovoked and unjust war in Ukraine, two years after its full-scale invasion in February 2022."

뉴질랜드는 2022년 3월 러시아 제재법을 통과시킨 이후 1천600명 이상의 개인과 단체에 제재를 가한 바 있습니다.
New Zealand has imposed sanctions on more than 1,600 individuals and organizations since passing the Russia Sanctions Act in March 2022.

앞서 미국은 지난달 23일 러시아에 대한 제재를 위반한 600여 개인과 기관에 대한 대규모 제재를 발표했습니다.
Earlier on the 23rd of last month, the United States announced large-scale sanctions on more than 600 people and institutions that violated sanctions against Russia.

여기에는 러시아의 ‘보스토치나야 스티베도링 컴퍼니(VSC)’와 ‘두나이 해군 미사일 의심 시설’, ‘PJSC 트랜스컨테이너’사 등 대북 무기 수출에 관여한 러시아 물류 회사 3곳이 포함됐습니다.
These included three Russian logistics companies involved in arms exports to North Korea, including Russia's Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company (VSC), Dunai Naval Missile Suspected Facility and PJSC Transcontainer.

이날 유럽연합도 북러 무기 거래에 관여한 강순남 북한 국방상과 북한 미사일총국 등 우크라이나 전쟁에 연루된 개인 106명과 기업 및 기관 88곳을 대상으로 하는 추가 대러 제재를 발표한 바 있습니다.
On the same day, the European Union also announced additional sanctions on 106 individuals and 88 companies and organizations involved in the war in Ukraine, including North Korean Defense Minister Kang Soon-nam and North Korea's Missile Bureau, who were involved in the North Korea-Russia arms trade.
