한국 국방부 장관 “러 컨테이너 9천개 북한으로 넘어가… 북한 식량값 안정” > 경제

신원식 한국 국방부 장관은 북한이 러시아에 수백만 발 규모로 포탄을 지원했고 러시아는 그 대가로 대북 식량 지원에 나서 북한 내 식량 가격이 안정세를 보이고 있다고 밝혔습니다. 서울에서 김환용 기자가 보도합니다.

신원식 한국 국방부 장관은 26일 서울 국방부 청사에서 가진 기자간담회에서 “작년 7~8월 이후 북한에서 러시아로 넘어간 컨테이너의 양보다 러시아에서 북한으로 넘어간 양이 30% 가까이 많다”고 밝혔습니다.
South Korean Defense Minister Shin Won-sik said at a press conference held at the Ministry of National Defense building in Seoul on the 26th, "Since July and August last year, the amount of containers transferred from Russia to North Korea is nearly 30% higher than the amount of containers transferred from North Korea to Russia."

신 장관은 그러면서 북한이 우크라이나와 전쟁 중인 러시아에 수백만발 규모로 포탄을 지원했고, 이에 러시아는 북한에 대한 식량 지원에 나서 북한 내 식량 가격이 안정세를 보이고 있다고 전했습니다.
Minister Shin also said that North Korea has provided millions of artillery shells to Russia, which is at war with Ukraine, and Russia has provided food aid to North Korea, and food prices in North Korea are stabilizing.

신 장관은 북한에서 러시아로 넘어간 컨테이너를 약 6천700개로 추정하면서 “152mm 포탄이면 300만 발 이상, 122mm 방사포탄이면 50만 발 이상”이라며 “두 포탄이 섞여서 갔을 가능성이 있고, 적어도 몇백만 발이 갔다고 볼 수 있다”고 설명했습니다.
Minister Shin estimated about 6,700 containers from North Korea to Russia and explained, "If it's 152mm shells, it's more than 3 million rounds, and if it's 122mm multiple shells, it's more than 500,000 rounds."

한국 군 당국은 작년 7~8월 이후 러시아에서 북한으로 넘어간 컨테이너를 약 9천 개로 추정했습니다.
South Korean military authorities have estimated about 9,000 containers from Russia to North Korea since July-August last year.

신 장관은 “컨테이너의 내용물을 정확히 알 수는 없지만 식량이 가장 큰 비중을 차지하고 있다”며, 이런 식량 지원의 영향으로 “북한 지역 내 식량 가격이 안정적 추세를 유지하고 있는 것 같다”고 말했습니다.
"We don't know the exact contents of the container, but food accounts for the largest portion," Minister Shin said, adding that "food prices in North Korea seem to be maintaining a stable trend" due to such food aid.

신 장관은 러시아가 북한에 제공하는 군사기술에 대해서는 “푸틴이 주겠다고 공언한 위성 관련 기술은 계속 북한에 갈 것으로 예상된다”며 “그 외 북한은 자신이 필요로 하는 항공기 관련 기술, 지상 기동장비 기술 등을 러시아에 요구하고 있다”고 전했습니다.
Regarding the military technology Russia provides to North Korea, Minister Shin said, "The satellite-related technology that Putin has vowed to give is expected to continue to go to North Korea," adding, "North Korea is demanding Russia for the aircraft-related technology and ground maneuver equipment technology that it needs."

신 장관은 북한이 지난해 쏘아올린 첫 군사정찰위성 ‘만리경 1호’의 촬영과 전송 기능을 묻는 질문에 “북한 위성이 일을 하는 징후는 없다”며 “하는 것 없이, 일없이 돌고 있다”고 답변했습니다.
Asked about the photographing and transmission function of the first military reconnaissance satellite launched by North Korea last year, Minister Shin replied, "There is no indication that the North Korean satellite is working," adding, "It is circling without doing anything, without doing anything."

만리경 1호가 정찰위성 임무를 제대로 수행하지 못하고 있다는 겁니다.
Manri-kyung 1 is not properly performing its reconnaissance satellite mission.

그는 “위성이 궤도를 돌고 있다는 신호는 정상적으로 수신된다”고 덧붙였습니다.
"The signal that the satellite is orbiting is received normally," he added.

신 장관은 미한 연합훈련과 관련해선 북한의 위협에 대비해 올해 상반기 훈련 횟수를 작년 대비 2배 이상 늘린다는 계획을 공개했습니다.
Minister Shin has announced a plan to more than double the number of drills in the first half of this year compared to last year in preparation for North Korea's threats regarding joint exercises between the U.S. and South Korea.

그는 “지난해 20여 회 실시했는데 올해 상반기에는 50 회에 가까울 정도로 훈련이 많아졌다”며 “한미 연합연습을 강화할수록 북한이 전쟁을 일으켜 얻을 수 있는 손실이 이득보다 더 커진다”고 강조했습니다.
"We conducted about 20 times last year, and in the first half of this year, we had more training than 50 times," he said. "The stronger the South Korea-U.S. joint exercise, the greater the loss that North Korea can gain from the war than the benefits."
