윤석열 한국 대통령 ”APEC 중심 연결성 강화해야” > 경제

윤석열 한국 대통령이 15일 아시아태평양경제협력체(APEC) 중심의 국제 연결망 강화를 촉구했습니다.
South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol called for strengthening the international network centered on the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) on the 15th.

윤 대통령은 이날 미국 샌프란시스코 모스코니센터에서 열린 APEC 최고경영자(CEO) 회의 기조연설에서, 디지털 경제의 무한한 가능성에도 국경을 넘는 데이터 연결과 이를 통한 가치 장출이 시장의 기대에 미치지 못하고 있는 점을 지적했습니다.
In his keynote speech at the APEC CEO meeting held at the Mosconi Center in San Francisco, the U.S., President Yoon pointed out that despite the infinite possibility of the digital economy, cross-border data connections and value growth through them do not meet the market's expectations.

그러면서 “세계 경제가 다시 역동성을 회복하고, 지속 가능한 성장을 이어가기 위해서는 APEC이 중심이 돼 세계 경제의 연결성을 가속해야 한다”고 말했습니다.
"In order for the global economy to regain its dynamism and continue sustainable growth, APEC should take the center stage and accelerate the connectivity of the global economy," he said.

윤 대통령은 이를 위해 교역과 투자 그리고 공급망을 강화하고, 디지털 분야와 미래세대 분야에도 역점을 둬야 한다고 주장했습니다.
President Yoon argued that the government should strengthen trade, investment and supply chains, and focus on digital and future generations.

아울러 APEC이 상품과 서비스의 자유로운 이동을 추구해온 점을 언급하면서, 다자간 무역 체제의 수호자로서 APEC의 역할이 계속 확대되어야 한다고 밝혔습니다.
Noting that APEC has pursued the free movement of goods and services, he also said that APEC's role as the guardian of the multilateral trade system should continue to expand.

이 회의는 APEC 정상회의의 부대 행사로 개최됐으며, ‘지속가능성∙포용성∙회복탄력성∙혁신’을 주요 의제로 다뤘습니다.
The meeting was held as a side event of the APEC summit, and the main agenda was 'Sustainability, Inclusion, Resilience, and Innovation'.

한편 윤 대통령은 이날 팀 쿡 미국 애플 사 최고경영자(CEO)의 요청으로 회동을 가졌습니다.
Meanwhile, President Yoon held a meeting at the request of Apple CEO Tim Cook of the U.S.

비공개로 진행된 면담에서 윤 대통령은 쿡 CEO에게, 애플이 디지털 혁신 생태계의 성장에 기여하고 있다면서, 세계 최고 기술력과 역량을 갖춘 한국 기업들과의 협력을 지속할 것을 촉구했다고 한국 대통령실은 브리핑을 통해 전했습니다.
In a closed-door meeting, President Yoon told Cook that Apple is contributing to the growth of the digital innovation ecosystem and urged him to continue working with the world's best technology and capabilities Korean companies, the Korean presidential office said in a briefing.
