한국 정부 "장마철 댐 방류시 사전 통지해달라" 북한에 공개 요구 > 경제

한국 정부는 북한이 장마철 황강댐 등 북한 측 수역의 댐 방류 시 사전에 통지해 줄 것을 공개적으로 요구했습니다.
The South Korean government has publicly demanded that North Korea notify in advance of the release of dams in North Korean waters such as the Hwanggang Dam during the rainy season.

통일부는 28일 입장문을 통해 “장마철 남북 접경지역 홍수 피해 등이 우려되는 상황에서 접경지역 주민의 생명과 재산상 피해를 예방하기 위한 기본적인 조치”라며 남북 합의에 따라 북한 측에 댐 방류 시 사전 통지를 요구했습니다.
In a statement on the 28th, the Ministry of Unification asked North Korea to give prior notice when releasing the dam under the inter-Korean agreement, saying, "It is a basic measure to prevent life and property damage to residents in the border area in the rainy season."

통일부는 이런 입장을 통지문으로 북한 측에 발송하지 않고 공개적으로 밝힌 원인에 대해 ‘불안정한 남북 간 통신연결 상태’ 때문이라고 설명했습니다.
The Ministry of Unification explained that the reason why it publicly stated this position without sending it to North Korea in a notice was because of the unstable communication connection between the two Koreas.

통일부는 “오늘 아침 9시 남북공동연락사무소 정기통화를 위해서 수차례 통화 발신했으나 북한 측의 응신이 없어서 통화가 이뤄지지 않았다”고 말했습니다.
The Ministry of Unification said, "We made several calls for regular calls at the joint inter-Korean liaison office at 9 a.m. this morning, but the call was not made because the North did not respond."

북한 지역 폭우로 인해 기술적 문제가 발생하면서 남북공동연락사무소 채널과 군 통신선 일부가 이날 불통인 것으로 전해졌습니다.
Some of the inter-Korean joint liaison office channels and military communication lines were reportedly out of service on the same day as technical problems arose due to heavy rains in North Korea.

한국 정부는 연락채널이 정상가동되면 관련 통지문을 보낼 예정입니다.
The Korean government will send a related notice when the communication channel is operating normally.
