우크라이나 대통령실 "젤렌스키-시진핑 회담 추진 난항" > 세계

볼로디미르 젤렌스키 우크라이나 대통령과 시진핑 중국 국가주석 간 정상회담 추진이 난항을 겪고 있다고 우크라이나 대통령실이 23일 밝혔습니다.
Ukraine's presidential office said on the 23rd that the summit between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Chinese President Xi Jinping is facing difficulties.

미하일로 포돌랴크 우크라이나 대통령실 보좌관은 이날 현지 매체와의 인터뷰에서 전쟁을 어떻게 끝낼 것인지에 대해 “현재 중국의 입장이 부족”해 정상 간 전화통화 추진에 어려움이 있다고 말했습니다.
In an interview with local media, Ukrainian presidential aide Mikhail Podolyak said China's "lack of position at the moment" on how to end the war has made it difficult to push for a phone call between the leaders.

포돌랴크 보좌관은 “중국이 러시아와 우크라이나 사이의 합의 문제를 떠맡을지, 아니면 조심스럽게 옆으로 비켜설지에 대해 아직 입장을 정리하지 못한 것으로 이해하고 있다”고 밝혔습니다.
"I understand that China has yet to sort out its position on whether to take on the issue of an agreement between Russia and Ukraine or to carefully step aside," Podolyak said.

우크라이나 측은 현재 대통령 비서실장과 외교장관이 젤렌스키 대통령과 시 주석의 정상회담 추진에 관여하고 있다고 포돌랴크 보좌관은 전했습니다.
Podolyak said Ukraine's top presidential secretary and foreign minister are currently involved in the push for a summit between President Zelensky and President Xi.

앞서 미 '월스트리트저널’ 신문은 시 주석이 지난 20일 러시아를 방문해 블라디미르 푸틴 대통령과 회담한 뒤 젤렌스키 대통령과 화상 회담을 할 계획이라고 보도했었습니다.
Earlier, the U.S. "Wall Street Journal" newspaper reported that President Xi plans to visit Russia on the 20th to meet with President Vladimir Putin and then hold a video conference with President Zelensky.

한편 로이드 오스틴 미국 국방장관은 이날 미 의회에 출석해 중국이 러시아에 군사적 지원을 제공할 경우 “분쟁을 연장하고, 역내뿐 아니라 전 세계적으로 분쟁을 확대할 가능성이 있다”고 우려했습니다.
Meanwhile, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told the U.S. Congress that if China provides military support to Russia, it could "extend the conflict and expand the conflict not only in the region but also around the world."
