페드로 산체스 스페인 총리가 오는 30일부터 이틀간 중국을 국빈방문합니다.

스페인 총리실은 22일 산체스 총리가 30일부터 31일까지 중국을 방문한다며, 30일 중국 하이난섬에서 열리는 보아오포럼에 참석한 뒤 다음날 시진핑 중국 국가주석과의 정상회담을 위해 베이징으로 이동할 예정이라고 밝혔습니다.
Spain's Prime Minister's Office said on the 22nd that Prime Minister Sanchez will visit China from the 30th to the 31st, and will travel to Beijing for a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping the next day after attending the Boao Forum on China's Hainan Island on the 30th.

펠릭스 볼라뇨스 총리실 장관은 산체스 총리가 중국을 방문하는 핵심 이유로 시 주석의 “우크라이나 전쟁에 대한 중재 가능성”을 들었습니다.
Felix Bolanos, the prime minister's office minister, cited Xi's "possibility of arbitration in the Ukraine war" as a key reason for Sanchez's visit to China.

이와 관련해 산체스 총리는 23일 벨기에에서 열린 유럽연합(EU) 정상회의 참석 중 기자들에게 “중국의 입장에 대해 직접 듣는 것이 중요하다고 생각한다”고 말했습니다.
In a related development, Prime Minister Sanchez told reporters during the European Union (EU) summit in Belgium on the 23rd, "I think it is important to hear about China's position in person."

산체스 총리는 또 평화가 찾아올 때 “평화의 시작 조건을 확립하는 건 우크라이나인들 자신이어야 한다”는 점을 시 주석에게 상기시키는 일도 중요하다고 밝혔습니다.
Prime Minister Sanchez also said it is important to remind President Xi that "it should be the Ukrainians themselves who establish the conditions for peace to begin."

앞서 산체스 총리는 지난달 23일 우크라이나를 방문해 볼로디미르 젤렌스키 대통령에게 우크라이나에 대한 지지를 다짐한 바 있습니다.
Prime Minister Sanchez visited Ukraine on the 23rd of last month and vowed to support Ukraine to President Volodymyr Zelensky.

산체스 총리와 시 주석은 지난해 11월 인도네시아 발리에서 열린 주요20개국(G20) 정상회의를 계기로 양자 회담을 가진 바 있습니다.

산체스 총리는 올 하반기 6개월 임기의 유럽연합(EU) 이사회 의장직을 맡을 예정입니다.
