The Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom issued a statement on the 1st, criticizing the visit to Taiwan by members of the British Foreign Relations Commission for violating the principle of "one China."

성명은 이어 영국이 약속을 준수하고, ‘하나의 중국’ 원칙을 위반하는 모든 행동과 내정간섭을 중단하라고 촉구했습니다.
The statement went on to call for the UK to abide by its commitments and stop all actions and interference in domestic affairs that violate the "One China" principle.

그러면서 영국 의원의 타이완 방문은 타이완 독립을 추구하는 이들에게 잘못된 신호를 보냈다고 지적하며, 중국의 이익을 약화하는 영국의 움직임에 강력히 대응할 것이라고 강조했습니다.
He also pointed out that British lawmakers' visit to Taiwan sent the wrong signal to those seeking Taiwan's independence and stressed that they would strongly respond to Britain's move to weaken China's interests.

영국 외교위 소속 의원들은 지난달 29일 인도·태평양 지역에 대한 외교 정책 변화를 검토하기 위해 타이완을 방문한다고 밝혔습니다.
Members of the British Foreign Affairs Committee said on the 29th of last month that they would visit Taiwan to review changes in foreign policy in the Indo-Pacific region.

영국 의원들은 1일 쑤전창 타이완 행정원장과 회담했고, 2일에는 차이잉원 총통을 만날 예정입니다.
British lawmakers met with Taiwan's Chief Executive Su Jeon-chang on the 1st and will meet with President Tsai Ing-wen on the 2nd.
