일본 해상자위대 호위함 ‘하마기리함’이 29일 한국 부산 해군작전기지에 입항했습니다.

이번 훈련은 대량살상무기(WMD) 확산을 방지하기 위한 국제협력체인 '확산방지구상(PSI)' 고위급 회의 개시일 다음 날 실시됩니다.
The exercise will take place the day after the start of the high-level meeting of the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI), an international cooperative to prevent the spread of WMD.

한편, 이날(29일) 부산 해군작전기지 입항 당시 하마기리함이 '욱일기'의 일종인 자위함 깃발을 달고 들어와 논란이 일고 있습니다.
Meanwhile, when the Hamagiri ship entered the Busan Naval Operations Base on the 29th, it was under controversy as it carried the Self-Defense Force flag, a type of "the Rising Sun Flag."

한국 국방부 전하규 대변인은 군 함정이 외국 항에 들어갈 때 군대 등을 상징하는 깃발을 다는 것은 통상적인 국제적 관례라며 이에 문제 삼지 않을 방침임을 밝혔습니다.
South Korea's Defense Ministry spokesman Jeon Ha-kyu said it is customary for military vessels to wear flags symbolizing troops and others when entering foreign ports and will not take issue with this.
