일본을 방문 중인 웬디 셔먼 미 국무부 부장관이 일본인 납북 피해자 가족을 만났습니다.

셔먼 부장관은 20일 자신의 트위터에 일본인 납북피해자 가족들과 만난 사진 4장과 함께 “북한에 의해 납치된 일본인들의 가족들과 만난 건 매우 가슴이 아팠다”는 글을 올렸습니다.
Deputy Minister Sherman posted on his Twitter account on the 20th that "It was very heartbreaking to meet with the families of Japanese abductees who were kidnapped by North Korea."

그러면서 “미국은 납북자 문제의 즉각적인 해결을 촉구하는 데 있어 일본과 함께 한다”고 밝혔습니다.
He said, "The U.S. is with Japan in calling for an immediate resolution of the abductee issue."

일본 언론들도 셔먼 부장관이 현지시간으로 20일 도쿄의 주미 대사관저에서 일본인 납북자 가족들을 만났다고 보도했습니다.
Japanese media also reported that Deputy Minister Sherman met with the families of Japanese abductees at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo on the 20th, local time.

일본 ‘NHK’ 방송은 이날 비공개로 열린 면담에 일본인 납북자인 요코타 메구미와 다구치 야에코의 가족들이 참석했다면서, 납북자 가족과 바이든 행정부 고위 인사의 만남은 이번이 처음이라고 전했습니다.
