북한 역도선수 14명, 쿠바 ‘국제역도연맹 그랑프리 대회’ 출전자 명단에 포함 > 문화

다음 달 쿠바에서 열리는 국제 역도대회 출전자 명단에 북한 남녀선수 14명의 이름이 포함됐습니다. 북한이 실제로 참가할 경우 약 3년 만의 국제 대회 복귀입니다. 박형주 기자가 보도합니다.
The names of 14 North Korean male and female athletes were included in the list of participants in the international weightlifting competition in Cuba next month. If North Korea actually participates, it will be the first return to an international competition in about three years. Reporter Park Hyung-joo reports.

북한이 다음 달 8일부터 18일까지 쿠바 수도 아바나에서 열리는 국제역도연맹(IWF) 그랑프리 대회에 참가할 예정인 것으로 확인됐습니다.
It has been confirmed that North Korea will participate in the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Grand Prix in Havana, Cuba, from the 8th to the 18th of next month.

23일 국제역도연맹이 홈페이지를 통해 공개한 IWF 그랑프리 1차 대회 최종명단에 북한 선수 14명이 포함됐습니다.
On the 23rd, 14 North Korean athletes were included in the final list of the first IWF Grand Prix tournament released by the International Weightlifting Federation on its website.

북한의 동맹국인 쿠바에서 열리는 이번 대회는 내년 8월 프랑스 파리올림픽 출전을 위한 점수를 획득할 수 있는 대회입니다.
The competition, which will be held in Cuba, North Korea's ally, will be able to score points for the Paris Olympics in August next year.

IWF 명단에는 따르면 이번 대회에 출전하는 북한 선수들은 남자 7명과 여자 7명 등 모두 14명으로, 세계 기록을 보유한 선수도 포함됐습니다.
According to the list, there are a total of 14 North Korean athletes participating in the tournament, including seven men and seven women, and included players who hold world records.

특히 2013년 세계청소년역도선수권대회에서 금메달을 땄던 박정주 선수도 명단에 포함됐습니다.
Park Jung-joo, who won the gold medal at the 2013 World Youth Weightlifting Championships, was also included in the list.

67kg급 용상 188kg으로 세계 신기록을 보유한 박정주 선수는 이번 대회에선 73kg급 경기에 출전합니다.
Park Jung-joo, who set a new world record with 188kg for the 67kg dragon, will compete in the 73kg competition.

또 2012년 런던올림픽에서 금메달을 목에 걸었던 엄윤철(55kg급), 2019 아시아 유소년·주니어 역도선수권대회 금메달리스트 박명진(61kg급), 같은 대회에서 유소년 1위를 기록한 김충국(61kg급)을 비롯해 오금택(73kg급), 리청송(81kg급), 로광렬(89kg급)도 이번 대회 출전자 명단에 포함됐습니다.
Eom Yoon-chul (55kg), Park Myung-jin (61kg), gold medalist at the 2019 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships, Kim Choong-guk (61kg), Oh Geum-taek (73kg), Lee Cheong-song (81kg), and Ro Kwang-ryul (89kg) were also included in the list.

여자 선수는 2018 자카르타·팔렘방 아시안게임에서 금메달을 획득한 리성금(49kg급)과 림은심(64kg급), 2017년 아시아청년 선수권대회에서 금메달 3개를 목에 건 강현경(55kg급), 2019년 아시아역도선수권대회 금메달리스트 김일경(59kg급)을 비롯해 송국향(71kg), 리숙(71kg), 정춘희(76kg) 등 모두 7명입니다.
The women are Lee Sung-geum (49kg) and Lim Eun-shim (64kg), who won gold medals at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games, Kang Hyun-kyung (55kg), and Kim Il-kyung (59kg), gold medalist at the 2019 Asian Weightlifting Championships, as well as Song Kook-hyang (71kg), Ri Sook (71kg), and Jung-chun (76kg).

역도는 북한이 가장 많은 메달을 딴 하계올림픽 종목입니다.
Weightlifting is the most medal-winning Summer Olympics event in North Korea.

북한이 실제로 이번 대회에 참석하면 지난 2020년 1월 아시아축구연맹 23세 이하 챔피언십 경기 이후 3년여 만의 국제 대회 참가입니다.
If North Korea actually attends this tournament, it will be the first international tournament in more than three years since the Asian Football Confederation Under-23 Championship match in January 2020.

북한은 지난달 말 중국에서 열린 동아시아 가라테 선수권 대회에 남자 선수 2명을 출전시켰지만, 이들 모두 일본에 거주하는 재일본조선인총연합회 소속인 것으로 알려졌습니다.
North Korea sent two male athletes to the East Asian Karate Championships in China late last month, but they are all members of the Japanese Federation of Korean Residents in Japan.

북한은 코로나 바이러스 감염 우려를 이유로 2020 도쿄올림픽에 불참했다가 받은 징계가 올해부터 해제됐습니다.
North Korea's disciplinary action for not attending the 2020 Tokyo Olympics due to concerns over coronavirus infection has been lifted since this year.

북한은 오는 9월 항저우 아시안게임에 수백명 규모의 선수단 예비 명단을 등록한 것으로 알려졌습니다.
North Korea is known to have registered a preliminary list of hundreds of athletes at the Hangzhou Asian Games in September.

일본 교도통신은 최근 중국 베이징 소식통을 인용해 북한이 중국 항저우 아시안게임에 선수와 코치, 임원 등 약 200명 규모 선수단을 등록했다고 보도했습니다.
Japan's Kyodo News recently reported that North Korea has registered a team of about 200 athletes, coaches and executives at the Hangzhou Asian Games in China, citing sources in Beijing.
