한국 청와대 "문재인 대통령 베이징 올림픽 참석 검토 안해" > 문화

한국 청와대는 문재인 대통령이 다음달 4일 중국 베이징에서 열리는 동계 올림픽 개막식 참석을 검토하지 않고 있다고 밝혔습니다.
South Korea's Blue House said President Moon Jae In is not considering attending the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, on the 4th of next month.

청와대 관계자는 12일 익명을 전제로 기자들과 만나 올림픽을 활용해 북한과의 대화 재개 계기로 삼고자한 한국 정부의 기대에도 불구하고 문 대통령의 참석은 검토하지 않고 있다고 말했습니다. 다만 이 관계자는 대표단이 파견될 수 있는 방안을 검토 중이라고 덧붙였습니다.
A Blue House official met with reporters on the condition of anonymity on the 12th and said that despite the South Korean government's expectation to use the Olympics as an opportunity to resume dialogue with North Korea, President Moon is not considering his attendance. However, the official added that he is considering ways for the delegation to be dispatched.

이어 한국 정부는 베이징 동계 올림픽이 동북아시아와 세계의 평화, 번영과 남북 관계에 기여하기를 희망한다고 거듭 강조했습니다.
The South Korean government then reiterated that it hopes the Beijing Winter Olympics will contribute to peace, prosperity and inter-Korean relations in Northeast Asia and the world.

한편 이 관계자는 한-중 정상이 이달 말 화상으로 회담할 가능성을 묻는 질문에 대해서 “결정된 사항은 없으며, 양측이 소통 중”이라고 밝혔습니다.
On the other hand, the official said, "Nothing has been decided, and the two sides are communicating," when asked if the leaders of Korea-China could have a video conference later this month.

앞서 북한 관영 ‘조선중앙통신’은 지난 7일 북한 올림픽위원회와 체육성이 최근 중국 체육 총국에 보낸 편지내용을 보도하면서 올림픽 불참을 공식 표명했습니다.
Earlier, North Korea's state-run "Chosun Central News Agency" officially announced its absence from the Olympics on the 7th, reporting a recent letter from the North Korean Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports to the Chinese Sports General.
