한국 국정원 "북한 김정은 상당한 수면장애...식량난에 아사자 급증" > 경제

한국 국가정보원은 김정은 북한 국무위원장이 상당한 수면장애를 겪고 있는 것으로 추정했습니다. 또 북한 내 극심한 식량난으로 아사자들도 급증하고 있다고 국회에 보고했습니다. 서울에서 김환용 기자가 보도합니다.

한국 국가정보원은 김정은 북한 국무위원장이 상당한 수면장애를 겪고 있는 것으로 추정하면서, 김 위원장의 체중이 140㎏ 중반에 이르는 것으로 파악했습니다.
South Korea's National Intelligence Service estimates that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is suffering from a considerable sleep disorder, and found that Kim's weight reaches the mid-140kg range.

김규현 국가정보원장은 31일 국회 정보위원회 업무보고에서 이같이 말했다고 정보위 여야 간사인 국민의힘 유상범, 더불어민주당 윤건영 의원이 언론브리핑을 통해 밝혔습니다.
Kim Kyu-hyun, head of the National Intelligence Service, said in a press briefing on the 31st that Yoo Sang-beom, the secretary of the ruling and opposition parties, and Yoon Gun-young of the Democratic Party of Korea, made the remarks.

유 의원에 따르면 국정원은 “북한 당국이 최근 4월에 해외에서 최고위급 인사의 불면증 치료를 위한 졸피뎀 등 최신 의료정보를 집중 수집하는 점을 들어서 김 위원장이 상당한 수면장애를 겪고 있는 것으로 추정하고 있다”고 보고했습니다.
According to Rep. Yoo, the National Intelligence Service reports that "North Korean authorities are collecting the latest medical information, including Zolpidem, for the treatment of insomnia by top-level people abroad in April."

국정원은 또 북한이 “말보로와 던힐 등 외국 담배와 고급 안주를 다량 들여오고 있어서 김 위원장의 알코올, 니코틴 의존도가 높아지고 더 심한 불면증에 시달리게 되는 악순환에 빠질 가능성도 주시하고 있다”고 밝혔습니다.
The National Intelligence Service also said, "North Korea is also watching the possibility of falling into a vicious cycle of increasing Kim's dependence on alcohol and nicotine and suffering from more severe insomnia as it brings in large amounts of foreign cigarettes and high-end snacks."

아울러 국정원은 “지난 16일 김 위원장의 공개 행보 때 눈에 다크서클이 선명해 보이는 등 피곤한 모습이 역력했고, 체중 역시 AI 즉 인공지능 분석 결과 140㎏ 중반으로 평가하고 있다”고 보고했습니다.

이와 함께 국정원은 “작년 말부터는 김 위원장 손, 팔뚝에 긁어서 덧난 상처가 계속 확인됐다”며 “알레르기와 스트레스가 복합 작용한 피부염으로 추정된다”고 보고했습니다.

국정원은 북한 내 식량 사정에 대해 “북한의 옥수수 가격이 작년 1분기 대비 약 60%, 쌀 가격은 30% 가까이 올라 김정은 국무위원장 집권 이래 최고치를 기록한 것으로 보고 있다”고 밝혔습니다.
Regarding the food situation in North Korea, the National Intelligence Service said, "North Korea's corn prices rose by about 60% and rice prices by nearly 30% compared to the first quarter of last year, the highest since Kim Jong-un took office."

이에 따른 아사자 발생도 예년의 3배에 달하는 것으로 국정원은 추정했습니다.
The National Intelligence Service estimated that the number of deaths from starvation is three times higher than in previous years.

국정원은 또 “민생고로 인한 내부적 불안 요인이 많이 비화하고 있다”며 “강력범죄가 작년 동기 대비 100여 건에서 300여 건으로 3배 폭증했고 물자 탈취를 노린 사제폭탄 투척 등 대형화 조직화된 범죄도 발생하고 있다”고 보고했습니다.
The National Intelligence Service also reported that "the number of violent crimes tripled from 100 to 300 compared to the same period last year, and large-scale organized crimes such as throwing homemade bombs to steal materials are also occurring."

이어 “특히 최근 자살자가 지난해에 비해 40% 정도 증가했는데, 김정은은 이를 사회주의에 대한 반역 행위로 규정하며 방지대책 강구를 긴급 지시했다”고 밝혔습니다.
"In particular, the number of suicides has increased by about 40% compared to last year, and Kim Jong-un defined it as an act of treason against socialism and ordered urgent measures to be taken to prevent it," he said.

신종 코로나바이러스 감염증 사태와 관련해선 “북한이 5월 들어 중국과 열차 운행을 1일 1회에서 2회로 증편했고 단둥과 신의주 간 도로 추가 개방을 준비 중에 있었으나, 5월 들어 평양시 발열자가 대거 속출하면서 평양시 일부를 준 안전지역으로 설정해 이동을 제한했다”고 설명했습니다.
Regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, he explained, "North Korea increased train operations with China from once to twice a day in May and was preparing to open additional roads between Dandong and Sinuiju, but in May, some of Pyongyang was set as a semi-safe area."

그러면서 “중국과의 국경 개방 시점도 고심 중에 있다”고 말했습니다.
He said, "We are also considering the timing of opening the border with China."

북한 대내외 특이동향에 대해서는 “현재 북한은 중국, 러시아와 밀착하고 있으나 이면엔 실무적 갈등이 발목을 잡고 있는 상황으로 보고 있다”며 “특히 중국 당국은 북한인들의 밀수, 밀입국 등 위법 활동을 처벌하거나 체류기간 만료자들의 귀국을 요구하는 상황”이라고 말했습니다.
"North Korea is currently in close contact with China and Russia, but working-level conflicts are holding back," he said. "In particular, the Chinese authorities are demanding North Koreans' illegal activities such as smuggling and smuggling."

이어 “러시아에선 북한의 제재 위반 소지 품목 수출에 난색을 표하는 기류가 있다고 한다”고 밝혔습니다.
