Thai Prime Minister Prayut Zanocha has accepted the nomination for the next prime minister.

현지 언론 등에 따르면 쁘라윳 총리는 어제(25일) 루엄타이쌍찻당(RTSC) 행사에서 총리 후보로 나서겠다고 밝혔습니다.
According to local media, Prime Minister Prayut announced yesterday (25th) that he would be a candidate for prime minister at the RTSC event.

태국은 오는 5월 14일에 총선거를 실시해 500명의 하원의원을 선출합니다.
Thailand will hold a general election on May 14 to elect 500 MPs.

이들 하원의원은 군부가 임명한 250명의 상원의원과 함께 7월 중순 차기 총리를 선출합니다.
These MPs, along with 250 military-appointed senators, elect the next prime minister in mid-July.

상하원 전체 의원 750명 중 과반인 376명 이상의 지지를 얻는 후보가 차기 총리가 되는 만큼 하원에서 압도적인 승리를 거두는 당이 사실상 정권을 잡을 수 있습니다.
The party that wins a landslide victory in the House of Representatives could actually take power, as the candidate who wins more than 376, the majority of the 750 members of the House of Representatives, becomes the next prime minister.

이번 총선에는 탁신 진나왓 전 총리의 막내딸인 패통탄이 제 1야당 프아타이당의 총리 후보로 나설 것으로 전망되고 있습니다.
Patton, the youngest daughter of former Prime Minister Thaksin Jinawatra, is expected to be the candidate for prime minister of the main opposition party, Pahtung.

최근 프아타이당은 여론조사에서 49.8% 지지율을 얻어 쁘라윳 총리의 RTSC당 지지율 11.8%를 큰 차이로 앞섰습니다.
In recent polls, Phataidan received 49.8 percent of the vote, outpacing Prime Minister Prayut's 11.8 percent approval rating per RTSC.

지난 2014년 쿠데타로 권력을 잡은 68세의 전직 육군 수장 쁘라윳 총리는 지난 2019년 3월 총선에서 연임에 성공했습니다.
