온두라스 외무장관 중국 방문...타이완, 대사 소환 > 세계

타이완이 23일 중미 국가 온두라스 외무장관의 중국 방문에 반발해 자국 대사를 소환했습니다.
Taiwan summoned its ambassador on the 23rd in protest of the visit of the Chinese Foreign Minister of the Central American nation of Honduras.

타이완 외교부는 이날 성명에서 “온두라스는 외무장관을 중국에 보내 (타이완-온두라스) 80여년의 우호관계를 무시했고, 이는 우리 정부와 국민들의 감정을 심각하게 손상시켰다”고 밝혔습니다.
Taiwan's foreign ministry said in a statement that "Honduras sent its foreign minister to China (Taiwan-Honduras) to ignore more than 80 years of friendly relations, which seriously damaged the feelings of our government and the people."

그러면서, “강력한 불만을 표현하기 위해 온두라스 주재 대사를 즉각 소환하기로 결정했다”고 덧붙였습니다.
"We decided to immediately summon the ambassador to Honduras to express our strong dissatisfaction," he added.

이와 관련해 이비스 알바라도 온두라스 대통령 공보비서는 이날 “에두아르도 레이나 외무장관이 수요일 시오마라 카스트로 대통령의 지시에 따라 외교관계 수립을 위한 노력을 촉진하기 위해 중국을 방문했다”고 확인했습니다.
In a related development, Honduran Presidential Press Secretary Ibis Alvarado confirmed that "Foreign Minister Eduardo Reina visited China on Wednesday to promote efforts to establish diplomatic relations at the direction of President Siomara Castro."

레이나 장관의 중국 방문에는 시오마라 카스트로 온두라스 대통령의 딸인 시오마라 셀라야 의원이 동행했으며, 이들은 친강 중국 외교부장을 만날 예정이라고 `AFP’ 통신이 보도했습니다.
Reina's visit to China was accompanied by Rep. Shiomara Selaya, the daughter of Honduran President Siomara Castro, who will meet with Chinese Foreign Minister Chin Gang, the AFP reported.

한편 왕원빈 중국 외교부 대변인은 중국과의 관계에 대한 온두라스 정부의 입장을 환영하면서, “평등과 상호 존중에 기초해” 관계를 발전시킬 용의가 있다고 말했습니다.
Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Won-bin welcomed the Honduran government's position on relations with China, saying it was willing to develop relations "on the basis of equality and mutual respect."

타이완과 온두라스의 단교가 확정될 경우 타이완의 공식 수교국은 13개국으로 줄어듭니다.
If Taiwan's diplomatic relations with Honduras are confirmed, the number of official diplomatic relations with Taiwan will be reduced to 13.
