중국군 "미 구축함 몰아내"...미 7함대 "일상 임무 수행" > 세계

중국 군은 23일 미 해군 소속 군함이 자국 영해를 침범해 퇴거 조치했다고 밝혔습니다.

톈쥔리 중국 인민해방군 남부전구 대변인은 이날 미국의 유도미사일 구축함 밀리어스함이 파라셀 군도(중국명 시사군도) 주변 해역에 진입했다며, 자국 “해군과 공군이 규정에 따라 (해당 구축함을) 추적 감시하도록 조치했다”고 말했습니다.
Tian Jun-li, spokesman for the Southern District of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, said the U.S. guided missile destroyer Millius entered the waters around the Paracel Islands (Chinese name Sisa Islands), and that the Navy and Air Force have taken measures to monitor the destroyer in accordance with regulations.

또한 구축함에 해당 지역을 “떠나라고 경고했다”면서, 미군 구축함은 “중국 영해를 불법 침범했고, 중국 정부의 허가 없이 역내 평화와 안정을 해치고 있다”고 주장했습니다.
It also warned the destroyer to "leave" the area, claiming that the US destroyer "illegally violated Chinese territorial waters and is harming regional peace and stability without permission from the Chinese government."

그러나 미 해군은 중국 군이 해당 구축함을 몰아냈다는 주장은 “거짓”이라고 반박했습니다.
However, the U.S. Navy countered that claims that Chinese troops drove out the destroyer were "false."

남중국해를 작전구역으로 하는 미 7함대는 “밀리어스함은 남중국해에서 일상적인 작전을 수행 중이었으며, 추방되지 않았다”고 밝혔습니다.
The U.S. 7th Fleet, which operates in the South China Sea, said, "The Millius was conducting routine operations in the South China Sea and was not deported."

그러면서 “미국은 국제법이 허용하는 곳이면 어디든 계속해서 비행·항해하고 작전을 수행할 것”이라고 말했습니다.
He said, "The United States will continue to fly, navigate, and operate wherever international law permits."

미국은 남중국해에서 중국이 관할권을 주장하는 해역에 군함을 파견하는 ‘항행의 자유’ 작전을 계속해 왔습니다.
The U.S. has continued its "freedom of navigation" operation, sending warships to waters claimed by China in the South China Sea.
