미국, 12일 코로나 정상회의 공동 개최 > 세계

미국이 지난해에 이어 12일 신종 코로나바이러스 대응 방안을 논의하기 위한 두 번째 화상 국제 정상회의를 공동 개최합니다.
The U.S. will co-host its second video international summit on the 12th to discuss ways to respond to the novel coronavirus following last year.

백악관은 조 바이든 대통령이 이날 오전 사전녹화된 기조연설을 통해 신종 코로나바이러스 대처가 “국제사회 우선순위로 유지돼야 한다”는 점을 강조할 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
The White House said President Joe Biden will emphasize in a pre-recorded keynote speech earlier in the day that the response to the new coronavirus should be "maintained as an international priority."

이와 관련해 젠 사키 백악관 대변인은 이번 주에 “수 천만 회분의 인수인이 없는 백신이 우리에게 있다"며, "수혜국들이 백신을 보관할 수 있는 콜드체인 자원이 부족하기 때문”이라고 말했습니다.
In a related development, White House spokesman Zensaki said this week, "We have tens of millions of vaccines without recipients," adding, "Because recipient countries lack cold chain resources to store them."

사키 대변인은 이번 정상회의가 전세계적인 코로나 퇴치 노력을 지속하기 위해 추가 기금이 필요하다는 사실을 알리는 좋은 기회가 될 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
Saki says the summit will be a good opportunity to inform the public that additional funds are needed to continue global efforts to combat COVID-19.

이번 정상회의에는 공동 주최국인 독일과 벨리즈, 인도네시아, 세네갈 외에 한국, 일본, 캐나다 인도의 정상들과 유럽연합(EU) 집행위원회 등도 참석합니다.
In addition to co-hosts Germany, Belize, Indonesia and Senegal, leaders of South Korea, Japan, Canada and India, as well as the European Commission, will attend the summit.

또 세계보건기구(WHO)와 세계은행, 세계무역기구(WTO) 등 국제기구와 구글, 세계백신면역연합(GAVI) 등도 참석합니다.
In addition, international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Bank, and the World Trade Organization (WTO), Google, and the World Vaccine and Immunization Union (GAVI) will also attend.
