미 해군 7함대는 이날 성명을 내고 “포트 로열함이 국제법에 따라 공해를 통과하는 정기적 항해를 실시했다”고 발표했습니다.

이어 이번 타이완 해협 통과는 자유롭고 열린 인도 태평양에 대한 미국의 의지를 보여주며, 미국은 국제법이 허용되는 것이라면 어디서든 비행 또는 항해를 한다고 강조했습니다.
The passage of the Taiwan Strait shows the U.S. commitment to the free and open Indian Pacific Ocean, and the U.S. emphasizes that it flies or sails wherever international law is allowed.

중국 인민해방군 동부전구 대변인은 11일 즉각 성명을 내고 “미국은 빈번히 이와 같은 연출을 꾸미고 도발하면서 타이완 독립을 옹호하는 세력들에게 잘못된 신호를 보내고 있다”고 밝혔습니다.
"The United States has frequently staged and provoked this kind of production, sending the wrong signal to those who advocate for Taiwan's independence," a spokesman for the eastern light bulb of the Chinese People's Liberation Army said in an immediate statement on Wednesday.

그러면서 “이 같은 행동은 타이완 해협에 걸쳐 의도적으로 갈등을 심화시킨다”고 경고했습니다.
"This action deliberately deepens conflict across the Taiwan Strait," he warned.

또 자국군은 “모든 위협과 도발에 대해 단호히 대응하고, 국가적 주권과 영토 보전을 수호할 것”이라고 강조했습니다.
The military also stressed that it will "respond firmly to all threats and provocations and defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity."
