미 국무부, 북러 경제공동위원회 개최에 “협력 심화의 또 다른 신호” > 정치

북한과 러시아의 경제공동위원회 개최는 “북러 간 협력 심화의 또 다른 신호”라고 미국 국무부가 밝혔습니다.
The hosting of a joint economic committee between North Korea and Russia is "another sign of deepening cooperation between North Korea and Russia," the U.S. State Department said.

[국무부 대변인] “This meeting is another sign of deepening cooperation between Russia and the DPRK, a trend that should be of great concern to anyone interested in maintaining peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, upholding the global non-proliferation regime, and supporting the people of Ukraine as they defend their freedom and independence against Russia’s brutal invasion.”
[State Department spokesperson] "이번 회담은 러시아의 잔혹한 침략에 맞서 자유와 독립을 수호하면서 한반도의 평화와 안정을 유지하고 세계적인 비확산 체제를 유지하며 우크라이나 국민을 지원하는 데 관심이 있는 사람이라면 누구나 관심을 가져야 할 동향인 러시아와 북한의 협력을 심화시키는 또 하나의 신호입니다."

국무부 대변인은 16일 최근 두 나라가 10차 경제공동위원회를 개최한 데 대한 VOA의 이메일 논평 요청에 “한반도의 평화와 안정을 유지하고 글로벌 비확산 체제를 지키며 러시아의 잔혹한 침략에 맞서 자유와 독립을 수호하는 우크라이나 국민을 지원하는 데 관심이 있는 어느 누구라도 크게 우려해야 할 동향”이라며 이같이 말했습니다.
"Anyone interested in maintaining peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, maintaining a global non-proliferation regime, and supporting the Ukrainian people who defend freedom and independence against Russia's brutal aggression should be of great concern," a State Department spokesperson said on the 16th in response to VOA's email comment on the recent hosting of the 10th Joint Economic Committee between the two countries.

앞서 북한 관영 ‘조선중앙통신’은 북러 양국이 15일 평양에서 10차 경제공동위원회 회의를 열고 의정서에 조인했다고 16일 보도했습니다.
Earlier on the 16th, North Korea's official "North Korea Central News Agency" reported that North Korea and Russia held the 10th Joint Economic Committee meeting in Pyongyang on the 15th and signed the protocol.

이어 이번 회의에선 “무역과 경제, 과학기술 등 각 분야 다방면적인 쌍무교류와 협력사업을 활성화하고 확대해나가기 위한 대책적 문제들이 구체적으로 토의 확정됐다”고 통신은 전했습니다.
At this meeting, the news agency said, "Measures to revitalize and expand bilateral exchanges and cooperation projects in various fields such as trade, economy, and science and technology were discussed in detail."

북러 경제공동위원회는 양국 간 장관급 경제협력 증진 협의체로, 1996년부터 총 9차례 열렸습니다.
The North Korea-Russia Economic Joint Committee is a consultative body for the promotion of economic cooperation between the two countries, which has been held nine times since 1996.

지난 9월 김정은 국무위원장과 블라디미르 푸틴 대통령은 정상회담에서 10차 회의 개최에 합의한 바 있습니다.
In September, Chairman Kim Jong-un and President Vladimir Putin agreed to hold the 10th meeting at the summit.
