바이든 "어떤 나라도 혼자 WMD 확산 못 막아"...윤석열 "북 핵 불법 자금 대응 공조 강화해야" > 정치

조 바이든 미국 대통령은 “대량살상무기(WMD) 확산 방지를 위한 규범을 모니터링하고 이행하는 국제 안보체제에 지속해서 도전을 가하는 나라가 전 세계에서 점점 늘어나고 있다”며 “어떤 나라도 혼자서 이 같은 위협에 맞설 수 없다”고 강조했습니다.
U.S. President Joe Biden said, "There are more and more countries around the world that continue to challenge the international security system that monitors and implements norms to prevent the spread of weapons of mass destruction (WMD)."

바이든 대통령은 30일 한국의 제주도 서귀포에서 열린 확산방지구상(PSI) 20주년 고위급 회의에서 보니 젠킨스 미 국무부 군비통제∙국제안보 차관이 대독한 축사를 통해 이같이 말하고 “새롭게 부상하는 확산 위협에 주목하면서 PSI를 더욱 확대하고 성장시키자”고 제안했습니다.
At a high-level conference on the 20th anniversary of the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) in Seogwipo, Jeju Island, President Biden said in a congratulatory speech by U.S. Secretary of State Bonnie Jenkins and suggested "to further expand and grow PSI while paying attention to the emerging threat of proliferation."

윤석열 한국 대통령은 영상메시지를 통해 “북한은 유엔 안보리 제재에도 불구하고 불법적으로 핵과 미사일 개발에 필요한 물자와 자금을 계속 조달하고 있다”며 “이에 대응해 나가기 위해 우리의 협력은 더욱 굳건해져야 한다”고 말했습니다.
South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol said in a video message, "North Korea continues to illegally procure supplies and funds for nuclear and missile development despite U.N. Security Council sanctions," adding, "Our cooperation must be strengthened to respond."

윤 대통령은 “국제사회의 노력에도 불구하고 대량살상무기 위협은 커지고 있으며 국제 안보환경은 더욱 엄중해지고 있다”며 이같이 강조했습니다.
President Yoon emphasized, "Despite the efforts of the international community, the threat of weapons of mass destruction is growing and the international security environment is becoming more severe."
