한국 국방 장관, 미 사이버사령관 접견...북한 사이버 위협 공동 대응 강화 > 정치

이종섭 한국 국방부 장관은 18일 서울 국방부 청사에서 폴 나카소네 미국 사이버사령관을 접견하고 북한 등의 사이버 위협에 대해 양국이 긴밀하게 협력해 대응하기로 했다고 국방부가 전했습니다.
South Korean Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup met with U.S. Cyber Commander Paul Nakasone at the Defense Ministry building in Seoul on the 18th and the two countries agreed to closely cooperate and respond to cyber threats such as North Korea, according to the Ministry of National Defense.

양측은 두 나라의 사이버 협력이 연합방위태세 확립에 중요한 요소라는 점과 상호 공동 대응 의지에 대해 공감대를 형성하고 갈수록 고도화, 지능화하는 사이버 위협에 효과적으로 대응하기 위해 정보와 작전 분야 교류를 통한 역량 강화와 연합훈련을 정례화하는 등 긴밀히 공조하기로 했습니다.

양국 사령부는 이를 통해 사이버 위협 정보를 공유하고 교육과 연습, 훈련 기회를 확대하는 등 지금까지 유지해 온 협력관계를 진전시켜 상호 사이버 작전 역량을 강화하는 중요한 계기를 만들 것으로 기대했습니다.
