북한 선박이 중국 항구에서 식량 포대로 보이는 하얀색 물체를 선적하는 장면이 포착됐습니다. 식량난에 처한 북한이 새해에도 대규모로 곡물을 수입하는 것으로 추정됩니다. 함지하 기자가 보도합니다.

VOA가 선박의 실시간 위치정보를 보여주는 ‘마린트래픽(MarineTraffic)’을 통해 같은 시각 이 지점에 머문 선박을 비교한 결과 이 선박은 북한 선박 ‘자이주2’호로 나타났습니다.

지난 11일 자 위성사진에도 이 항구에 접안한 한 선박이 하얀색 물체를 가득 실은 모습이 찍혔는데, 마린트래픽 자료는 이 선박을 북한 선적의 ‘태성8’호로 소개했습니다.
Satellite images on the 11th also showed a ship that entered the port full of white objects, and Marine Traffic data introduced the ship as the North Korean ship's "Taesung 8."

앞서 VOA는 지난해 북한 남포의 석탄 항구와 일반 항구, 송림항 등에 다량의 하얀색 물체가 유입됐다고 보도한 바 있습니다.
VOA previously reported that a large amount of white objects flowed into coal ports, general ports, and Songlim ports in Nampo, North Korea, last year.

특히 북한이 이 시기 포대 단위로 운송할 수 있는 물품이 쌀과 밀가루 등 곡물로 알려지면서 올해 여름부터 집중 조명돼 온 식량난으로 북한이 외부에서 식량을 유입하는 움직임으로 해석됐었습니다.
In particular, as North Korea's goods that can be transported in bags during this period were known as grains such as rice and flour, it was interpreted as a movement for North Korea to flow food from outside due to food shortages that have been highlighted since this summer.

또 VOA는 중국 해관총서 자료를 분석해 북한이 지난해 10월과 11월 중국에서 장립종 쌀을 대거 수입한 사실을 확인했습니다.
VOA also analyzed data from China's Customs and Excise Department and confirmed that North Korea imported a large number of long-grain rice from China in October and November last year.

장립미 혹은 안남미로 불리는 장립종 쌀은 찰기가 없고 모양이 얇고 긴 품종으로, 남북한과 동북아 일대에선 선호도가 낮습니다.
Jangryup rice, called Jangryupmi or Annamami, is a thin and long variety without stickiness, and is less preferred in the two Koreas and Northeast Asia.

하지만 단립종 쌀에 비해 가격이 저렴한 것으로 알려지면서 식량난에 처한 북한이 장립종 쌀을 구매한 것이라는 전문가들의 분석이 나왔습니다.
However, experts analyzed that North Korea, which is in a food shortage, purchased long-grain rice as it is known to be cheaper than single-grain rice.

따라서 북한이 룽커우 항을 통해 장립종 쌀을 대거 선적한 것인지 주목됩니다.

아울러 남포의 석탄 항구에서 서쪽으로 약 1km 떨어진 또 다른 항구에는 10일부터 16일까지 적재함 속 하얀색 물체를 서서히 줄이는 선박 2척이 정박해 있습니다. 중국에서 싣고 온 포대를 부두에 내려놓으면서 적재함을 비우는 장면이 위성에 포착된 것으로 추정됩니다.
In addition, two ships are anchored from the 10th to 16th at another port, about 1km west of Nampo's coal port. It is believed that the satellite captured the scene of emptying the loading box while unloading the bag loaded from China on the dock.
