코백스 "북한에 AZ백신 473만회분 추가 배정"…실제 공급은 없어 > 경제

북한에 신종 코로나 백신인 아스트라제네카 백신 473만 회분이 추가 배정됐습니다. 이로써 북한이 코백스로부터 공급 받을 수 있는 백신은 모두 682만 6천 회분으로 늘었습니다. 안소영 기자입니다.

국제 백신 공급 프로젝트인 ‘코백스 퍼실리티’가 신종 코로나 백신인 아스트라제네카 백신 473만 4천 회분을 북한에 추가 배정했습니다.
The international vaccine supply project "Cobax Facility" has allocated an additional 4,734,000 doses of the new coronavirus vaccine, AstraZeneca, to North Korea.

코백스가 29일 VOA에 제공한 ‘제12차 코백스 백신 배분 결정’ 안내문에 따르면, 코백스는 지난 22일 이 같은 결정을 내렸습니다.
According to the "12th Cobax Vaccine Allocation Decision" notice provided by Cobax to VOA on the 29th, Cobax made the decision on the 22nd.

코백스는 이에 따라 북한이 제공 받을 수 있는 백신이 총 682만 6천 800회분이라고 밝혔습니다.
Kobax said there are a total of 6,826,800 vaccines that North Korea can receive.

아스트라제네카가 2회 접종이 필요한 백신인 점을 고려하면 북한 주민 341만 3천 400명이 접종할 수 있는 분량입니다.
Considering that AstraZeneca is a vaccine that requires two vaccinations, it can be inoculated by 3,413,400 North Koreans.

코백스는 지난 4월 자국 내 코로나 확산으로 백신 수출을 중단했던 인도 정부가 최근 코백스에 백신 수출을 재허가했기 때문에 북한에 대한 추가 배정 등 제12차 백신 분배 결정이 이뤄질 수 있었다고 설명했습니다.
Kovax explained that the 12th decision to distribute vaccines, including additional allocation to North Korea, could have been made because the Indian government, which stopped exporting vaccines in April due to the spread of COVID-19 in the country, recently re-authorized them.

12차 코백스 백신 배분 계획을 보면 아스트라제네카 백신 총 4천 315만 320회분이 각국에 배정됐습니다.
According to the 12th Kobax vaccine distribution plan, a total of 43.153,120 AstraZeneca vaccines were allocated to each country.

방글라데시가 862만 5천 600회분으로 가장 많았고,
Bangladesh had the largest number of episodes with 8,6256,600 times.

나이지리아가 574만 2천 회분으로 그 뒤를 이었으며, 북한에 세 번째로 많은 백신이 배정됐습니다.
Nigeria followed with 5,742,000 doses, and North Korea was assigned the third largest number of vaccines.

앞서 코백스는 지난 3월 북한에 아스트라제네카 백신 199만 2천 회분을 처음 배정했고 지난 5월까지 170만 회분을 공급할 예정이었습니다.
Earlier in March, Kovax first allocated 1,922,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to North Korea and was scheduled to supply 1.7 million doses by May.

하지만 북한의 준비 절차 등의 미비로 아직 백신이 북한에 공급되지 않고 있습니다.
However, vaccines have not yet been supplied to North Korea due to North Korea's lack of preparation procedures.

코백스는 또 지난 8월 중국산 시노백 백신 297만여 회분을 북한에 배정했지만, 북한은 다른 나라에 재배정해도 된다는 뜻을 밝히며 공급받지 않았습니다.
Kobax also allocated 2.97 million Chinese synovac vaccines to North Korea in August, but North Korea did not receive them, stating that it was okay to re-assign them to other countries.
