The U.S. Air Force has unveiled its next-generation stealth strategic bomber, "B-21 Radar."
미국 공군이 차세대 스텔스 전략폭격기 ‘B-21 레이더’를 공개했습니다.

The Air Force held a public B-21 event yesterday (2nd) at its Northrop Grumman plant in Palmdale, California.
공군은 어제(2일) 캘리포니아주 팜데일의 노스럽그루먼 공장에서 B-21 공개 행사를 열었습니다.

It is the first time in about 30 years that the U.S. has unveiled a new strategic bomber since the B-2 Spirit bomber, which flew for the first time in 1989.
미국이 새로운 전략폭격기를 공개한 건 1989년 첫 비행을 한 B-2 스피릿 폭격기 이후 약 30년 만입니다.

The 21 is a strategic bomber capable of operating nuclear weapons, which can carry out missions in secret anywhere in the world. In particular, it is said to be displayed in the size of a golf ball on an air defense radar with state-of-the-art stealth functions.
B-21은 핵무기를 운용할 수 있는 전략폭격기로 전 세계 어디서든 비밀리에 임무를 수행할 수 있습니다. 특히 최첨단 스텔스 기능을 갖춰 방공 레이더에 골프공 크기로 표시되는 것으로 전해졌습니다.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said at the event that "even the most sophisticated air defense systems will have difficulty detecting the B-21.
로이드 오스틴 국방장관은 이날 행사에서 “가장 정교한 방공 시스템조차 B-21을 탐지하는 데 어려움을 겪을 것”이라고 말했습니다.

In addition, the B-21 is equipped with the latest computer technology to automatically respond to new targets and can be controlled unmanned.
또 B-21에는 최신 컴퓨터 기술이 적용돼 새로운 목표물에 자동으로 반응할 수 있으며, 무인으로도 조종될 수 있습니다.

The Air Force reportedly plans to deploy B-21s in action from the mid-2020s and operate about 100 units.
공군은 2020년대 중반부터 B-21을 실전 배치하고, 약 100대를 운용할 계획으로 전해졌습니다.

Bloomberg estimates it will cost at least $23 billion to develop, purchase, and operate B-21 bombers. The production price per unit is about $692 million.
블룸버그 통신은 B-21 폭격기의 개발과 구매, 운용 등에 최소 2천30억 달러가 소요될 것으로 추산했습니다. 1대당 제작 가격은 약 6억9천200만 달러입니다.
