미-일, 군 정보자산 분석 협력 강화…'정보분석셀(BIAC)' 개설 > 세계

미국과 일본이 상호 방위 협력 차원에서 양국의 국방 관련 정보를 공동으로 분석하는 기관을 개설했습니다.
The U.S. and Japan have opened an institution that jointly analyzes defense-related information between the two countries for mutual defense cooperation.

미 인도태평양사령부는 어제(1일) 웹사이트를 통해 리키 럽 주일미군사령관과 야스히코 스즈키 일본 통합막료감부 부참모장이 지난달 29일 일본 요코타 공군기지에서 미-일 양자 정보분석셀(BIAC∙Bilateral Intelligence Analysis Cell) 개소식을 열었다고 밝혔습니다.
The U.S. Indo-Pacific Command said on its website yesterday (1st) that U.S. Army Commander Ricky Lup and Japan's Deputy Chief of Staff Yasuhiko Suzuki held the opening ceremony of the U.S.-Japan Biological Intelligence Analysis Cell at Yokota Air Base in Japan on the 29th of last month.

인태사령부는 이 기관이 “상호 안보와 협력을 지원하기 위해 양국 자산에서 수집한 정보를 공동으로 분석, 처리하는 기능을 한다”며 “양국 국방 지도자들의 정보에 입각한 의사결정을 지원할 것”이라고 설명했습니다.
The Intae Command explained, "The agency will jointly analyze and process information collected from bilateral assets to support mutual security and cooperation," adding, "We will support informed decision-making by defense leaders of both countries."

특히 BIAC 설립은 일본 자위대와 미군 간 최초의 실시간 정보 공유 능력을 의미한다고 말했습니다.
In particular, the establishment of BIAC represents the first real-time intelligence sharing capability between the Japanese Self-Defense Forces and the U.S. military.

럽 사령관은 이날 개소식에서 “BIAC는 우리의 공통된 안보 이익의 결과로 공유된 일미 방위계획 발전의 사례”라고 밝혔습니다.
At the opening ceremony, Commander Lup said, "BIAC is an example of the development of the Japan-U.S. defense plan shared as a result of our common security interests."

이어 “역내 위협이 증가함에 따라 더 많은 협력이 필요하다”고 강조했습니다.
He then stressed that "more cooperation is needed as regional threats increase."

야스히코 부참모장은 “일본을 둘러싼 지역의 특이 행동에 대한 끈질긴 감시태세를 더욱 강화하고, 역내 도발적 행동과 강압에 의한 일방적 현상 변경 시도 억제에 기여할 것”이라고 말했습니다.
Yasuhiko, deputy chief of staff, said, "We will further strengthen our persistent surveillance posture against the unusual behavior of the region surrounding Japan and contribute to curbing attempts to change the phenomenon unilaterally by provocative actions and coercion in the region."
