조 바이든 미국 대통령과 에마뉘엘 마크롱 프랑스 대통령이 1일 정상회담을 갖고 국제 현안을 논의했습니다.
U.S. President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron held a summit on the 1st to discuss international issues.

바이든 대통령은 재임 기간 중 첫 국빈 자격으로 미국을 방문한 마크롱 대통령과 백악관에서 만난 뒤 공동성명을 발표했습니다.
President Biden issued a joint statement after meeting with President Macron at the White House, who visited the United States as his first state guest during his tenure.

바이든 대통령과 마크롱 대통령은 경제 파트너십과 군사 안보 협력, 민주주의 가치에 대한 공동의 약속을 기반으로 200년 넘게 이어진 양국 관계를 강조했습니다.
Biden and Macron emphasized their more than 200 years of bilateral relations based on their shared commitment to economic partnership, military security cooperation, and democratic values.

또 지난 2021년 10월 29일 발표한 공동성명을 바탕으로 안보를 강화하고 전 세계적으로 번영을 증진할 것을 다짐했습니다.
Based on the joint statement issued on October 29, 2021, he also vowed to strengthen security and promote prosperity worldwide.

이어 양국이 기후 변화에 대처하고, 그 영향에 대한 회복력을 높이며, 민주적 가치를 증진하기 위한 공동의 비전을 재확인했습니다.
The two countries then reaffirmed their shared vision to tackle climate change, increase resilience to its impact, and promote democratic values.

두 정상은 특히 북대서양조약기구(NATO·나토)를 통한 유럽의 집단적 방어와 안보를 강조하며, 군사적·비군사적 위협에 대한 회복력을 구축하기 위해 보다 강력하고 통합적이며 일관된 접근 방식을 추구할 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
The two leaders stressed Europe's collective defense and security, particularly through NATO, and said they would pursue a stronger, more integrated and consistent approach to building resilience against military and non-military threats.

그러면서 우크라이나를 침공한 러시아가 민간인과 민간용 사회 기간시설을 겨냥한 불법 전쟁을 저지르고 있다고 강력히 비난했습니다.
He also strongly accused Russia of engaging in an illegal war against civilians and civilian infrastructure that invaded Ukraine.

이어 인도·태평양 지역에서 규칙에 기반한 국제질서를 바꾸려는 중국의 도전과 인권 침해를 지적하며 양국이 이런 우려 사안을 함께 조율해 갈 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
He then pointed out China's challenge to change the rules-based international order in the Indo-Pacific region and human rights violations, saying the two countries will coordinate these concerns together.

다만 기후 변화와 같은 주요 국제 문제에 대해선 중국과 협력할 것이라고 덧붙였습니다.
However, he added that he would cooperate with China on major international issues such as climate change.

두 정상은 그 밖에도 공급망 문제와 에너지 문제, 식량안보 등 포괄적인 현안을 논의했으며, 우주 공간에서의 협력을 다짐했습니다.
The two leaders also discussed comprehensive issues such as supply chain issues, energy issues, and food security, and pledged cooperation in space.
