토니 블링컨 국무장관은 1일 성명에서 대통령의 권한 위임에 따라 지난해 8월 이후 우크라이나의 자주국방을 위해 미국 국방부가 요청한 최대 5천만 달러 상당의 무기와 장비의 14번째 인출을 승인했다고 밝혔습니다.

In addition to the $770 million U.S. Defense Department's earlier announcement, the U.S. says it will provide $820 million in additional military aid to Ukraine, which has increased its total military aid to more than $6.92 billion since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
미국 국방부에 따르면 이번 추가 지원 패키지에는 사거리가 160km에 달하는 첨단 지대공 미사일 시스템(NASAMS)과 최대 15만발의 155mm 포탄, 넉 대의 대공 레이더 등이 포함됐습니다.
The additional aid package included an advanced surface-to-air missile system (NASAMS) with a range of 160 kilometers, up to 150,000 155mm shells, and four anti-aircraft radars, according to the Pentagon.
블링컨 장관은 성명에서 우크라이나 국민이 이번 주 러시아의 쇼핑몰 공격 등 잔혹함에 계속 직면하고 있다며, 그들이 계속 조국을 지키기 위해 싸우고 있는 만큼 미국은 우크라이나 국민의 정당한 투쟁에 함께 할 것이며 이들의 독립, 안보, 주권, 영토 보전에 계속 전념하고 있다고 강조했습니다.
In a statement, Blinkan said Ukrainians continue to face brutality, including Russian shopping mall attacks this week, and stressed that the United States will join the rightful struggle for Ukraine and remain committed to its independence, security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
앞서 조 바이든 대통령은 지난달 30일 북대서양조약기구(NATO) 정상회의 직후 기자회견에서 우크라이나에 8억 달러 상당의 추가 지원을 하겠다고 밝혔었습니다.
