미국 정부는 19일 우크라이나에 대한 2억 달러 규모의 추가 군사 지원안을 최근 승인했다고 밝혔습니다.

A senior U.S. State Department official said the additional support plan for the "AP" communication was approved late last month and was intended to allow Ukraine to defend itself.

The senior official said on the condition of anonymity that Secretary of State Tony Blinkon has not been approved for mentioning related facts before the official schedule in Ukraine began.

그러면서, “우리는 우크라이나의 주권과 영토보전에 대해 전념하고 있으며, 계속해서 우크라이나에 필요한 지원을 제공할 것”이라고 설명했습니다.
He explained, "We are committed to Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial preservation, and we will continue to provide the necessary support to Ukraine."

다만 이번 추가 지원안의 세부 내역에 대해서는 언급하지 않았습니다.

백악관은 전날 러시아가 언제든 우크라이나에 대한 공격을 감행할 수 있는 단계에 있다고 언급한 바 있습니다.

Minister Blinkon also said in a conversation with local U.S. embassy staff shortly after arriving in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, that Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to increase the number of troops on the Ukrainian border.

블링컨 장관은 “우리는 러시아가 단기간에 병력을 급격히 늘리는 계획을 갖고 있다는 점을 알고 있다”고 밝혔습니다.
Minister Blinkon said, "We know that Russia is planning to increase its troops rapidly in a short period of time."
