연준 부의장 지명자 “인플레이션에 강력 대응” > 세계

U.S. Federal Reserve Vice Chairman nominee Layer Breinard has expressed his willingness to respond strongly to inflation.
레이얼 브레이너드 미국 연방준비제도 부의장 지명자가 인플레이션에 강력하게 대응하겠다는 뜻을 밝혔습니다.

The nominee for Breinard made the remarks at a confirmation hearing of the Senate Financial Services Commission on the 13th.
브레이너드 지명자는 13일 상원 금융위 인사청문회에 참석한 자리에서 이같이 밝혔습니다.

Breinard pointed out that inflation is very high at the moment and said the inflation issue is the most important issue the Fed is facing now.
브레이너드 지명자는 현재 인플레이션이 매우 높다고 지적하며 인플레이션 문제는 현재 연준이 마주하고 있는 가장 중요한 문제라고 말했습니다.

Nominee Breinard said the Fed has hinted several times that it will raise its key interest rate this year, adding that it will launch it as soon as it finishes reducing asset purchases, or tapering.
브레이너드 지명자는 연준이 여러 차례 올해 기준 금리 인상에 나설 것임을 시사했다며 자신이 생각으로 연준이 자산매입 축소, 즉 테이퍼링을 마치는 대로 여기에 착수할 것이라고 말했습니다.

Earlier in December last year, the Fed said it would finish reducing asset purchases in March, earlier than expected.
앞서 연준은 지난해 12월, 자산매입 축소를 예상보다 빠른 오는 3월에 마무리할 것이라는 입장을 밝힌 바 있습니다.

Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank President Patrick Harker earlier said at an event that the Fed expects to raise its key interest rate by 0.25% in March.
패트릭 하커 필라델피아 연방준비은행 총재는 앞서 이날 한 행사에서 오는 3월 연준이 기준금리를 0.25% 올릴 것으로 전망한다고 밝혔습니다.
