윤석열 한국 대통령, 미 CSIS 소장 접견…미한 관계, 북한 문제 등 논의 > 정치

윤석열 한국 대통령은 오늘(2일) 용산 대통령실에서 미국 싱크탱크인 전략국제문제연구소, CSIS 존 햄리 소장을 접견하고 미한 관계와 북한 문제 등에 대해 의견을 나눴다고 대통령실이 전했습니다.
Yoon Suk Yeol The presidential office reported that the South Korean president met with John Hamley, director of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a U.S. think tank, and shared opinions on U.S.-South Korea relations and North Korea issues at the presidential office said today (2nd).

윤 대통령은 “유력 싱크탱크인 CSIS가 미한 관계에 관한 연구와 이해 제고를 위한 선구적 역할을 하고 있다”며 앞으로도 이같은 노력을 지속해달라고 당부했습니다.
President Yoon said, "CSIS, a major think tank, is playing a pioneering role in researching and enhancing understanding of the U.S.-China relationship," and asked for such efforts to continue in the future.

햄리 소장은 워싱턴 내에서 한국의 글로벌 중추국가 비전과 윤 대통령의 리더십에 대한 지지가 확고하다면서 “미한 동맹과 양국 관계 발전을 위한 윤 대통령의 역할과 노력에 전폭적 신뢰를 보내고 있다”고 밝혔습니다.
Director Hamley said Korea's vision of a global hub country and President Yoon's leadership in Washington are firm, adding, "We give full confidence to President Yoon's role and efforts for the development of U.S.-China alliances and bilateral relations."

햄리 소장은 또 CSIS 차원에서 미한동맹 발전에 기여할 수 있도록 계속 힘을 보태겠다고 말했습니다.
Director Hamley also said he will continue to contribute to the development of the U.S.-Korea alliance at the CSIS level.
