Japan's Defense Ministry said on the 21st that it launched an SM-3 Block 2A interceptor missile equipped with an Aegis destroyer off Hawaii on the 15th.

미국 레이시온사와 일본 미쓰비시중공업이 공동개발한 SM-3 블록2A는 이지스 구축함에 탑재 가능한 해상 요격 미사일 체계입니다. 이 미사일은 넓은 지역을 방어할 수 있도록 추진력과 목표 식별 기능 등이 향상됐다고 레이시온사는 밝혔습니다.
