인터넷 상에서 확인된 북한 기업 정보. 석탄 등 북한의 지하자원에 관심이 있는 사람들의 연락을 기다린다는 문구가 담겼다.

Information on North Korean businesses confirmed on the Internet. It contains a phrase saying that it waits for contact from people interested in North Korea's underground resources such as coal.

It turns out that North Korean companies are still promoting on the Internet to sell items that are banned from exporting to North Korea. The announcement of the sale of nuclear materials, which has been controversial in the past, is also openly posted. Reporter Ham Ji-ha reports.

It is not difficult to find a North Korean company that sells sanctioned items on a website that connects small and medium-sized companies and buyers around the world.

The global corporate information website, "Global Manufacturers (gmdu.net)" lists a company named "Pyongyang Machine Company," and the main item sold is a machine that makes pasta noodles.

As the UN Security Council banned the export and import of all machinery products to North Korea through sanctions resolution, the sanction items were introduced as items for sale.

The company said it was located in the Moranbong area of Pyongyang, and guided it to a phone number and fax number that starts with the North Korean national number "850." In addition, it is listed as a person in charge who can be contacted by a person named Qingxu who uses a Chinese name.

In addition, a website named 'Company' will show a person named 'Mr. Choi' introducing their company and products.

Mr. Choi said, "My company 'IDG' was created for overseas investors and vendors interested in establishing business relations with North Korea," and specifically advertised that he was waiting for investors' contact regarding North Korea's natural resources.

Currently, North Korea's mineral exports are completely prohibited, and no joint venture with North Korea is allowed, as well as resource development.

In another company introduction posted on the same website, Mr. Choi introduced himself as HS Choi, leaving a contact number that was available in China, not a North Korean phone number.

The items for sale included anthracite, iron ore, marble, and marine products including clams. Marine products are also banned from North Korea, just like minerals.

In addition, the website confirmed company information and contact information that appears to have been left by another company that sells North Korean-made "hair dryers."

In addition, North Korean companies, which have been in trouble with the sale of nuclear materials in the past, are still posting the same promotional phrases.

In an annual report published in 2017, an expert panel of the U.N. Security Council's North Korea Sanctions Committee pointed out that a company called "GPM" tried to sell "Lithium 6," a key ingredient for nuclear weapons, through this website, but the same has not been deleted.

The address is in Beijing, China, but the contact information of the person in charge is guided to a phone number with a North Korean national number, and the address is also listed as North Korea's "Unification Road."

Concentrated lithium 6 isotopes and related equipment are listed as nuclear-related prohibited substances by the Security Council, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) defines lithium 6 as a substance used in the production of tritium, an isotope found in amplified fission coal.

However, the GPM said it could provide 10 kilograms of lithium 6 every month, leaving a phone number with the North Korean national code as a contact number.

Separately, the "Suppliers" website introduces the "Chosun Geumsan Trading Company," which is known to the General Administration of Nuclear Power to procure nuclear materials.

Geumsan Trading Company is a U.N. and U.S.-sanctioned company that is known to use the North Korean Embassy in Moscow as an office in the past, sparking controversy.

However, Geumsan Trading Company posted on the website that they manufactured and sold "Vanadium pentoxide" overseas, along with their phone number, "Please contact me if you are interested."

We are currently waiting for a response from websites that introduce North Korean businesses.
