한국–중국 외교장관 통화 "북한 핵·코로나 문제 논의" > 정치

한국의 박진 외교부 장관이 16일 취임 후 처음으로 중국 왕이 외교부장과 화상 통화를 하고 북한 문제를 논의했습니다.
South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin held a video call with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi for the first time since taking office on the 16th and discussed North Korea.

한국 언론에 따르면 한-중 두 장관은 상견례를 겸한 화상 통화에서 북한 핵과 미사일 그리고 북한의 신종 코로나바이러스 사태 등에 대해 의견을 교환했습니다.
According to South Korean media, South Korea and China exchanged views on North Korea's nuclear weapons and missiles and the North's new coronavirus situation in a video call that also served as a meeting.

박 장관은 북한의 핵, 미사일 고도화는 한반도와 역내 정세를 악화시킬 뿐 아니라 양국 이익에도 부합하지 않는다며 한중이 협력해 한반도 상황의 안정적 관리를 도모해 나가기를 기대한다고 말했습니다.
Minister Park said, "North Korea's nuclear and missile advancement not only exacerbates the situation on the Korean Peninsula but also does not serve the interests of both countries," adding, "We hope that South Korea and China will work together to ensure stable management of the situation on the Korean Peninsula."

또 박 장관은 북한의 추가 도발 자제를 위한 중국의 건설적 역할을 당부했습니다.
Park also called for China's constructive role in refraining from further provocations by North Korea.

한-중 두 장관은 최근 북한 내 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 사태에 우려를 표명했습니다.
The two ministers of South Korea and China recently expressed concern about the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in North Korea.

두 장관은 북한 주민에 대한 코로나 대응 인도적 지원 필요성 등의 문제에 대해 의견을 교환하고 상호 지속 협의해 나가기로 했습니다.
The two ministers decided to exchange opinions and continue to consult with each other on issues such as the need for humanitarian assistance in response to COVID-19 to North Koreans.

최근 북한은 외교 경로를 통해 중국에 코로나19 방역 물자 지원을 요청한 것으로 알려졌습니다.
Recently, North Korea reportedly requested China to provide COVID-19 quarantine supplies through diplomatic channels.

한국 정부는 이날 북한의 신종 코로나바이러스 사태와 관련 의약품과 방역 기술협력 지원 등을 위한 대북통지문을 발송하려 했으나 북한은 수령하지 않았습니다.
The South Korean government tried to send a notice to North Korea to support North Korea's new coronavirus crisis and related medicines and quarantine technology cooperation, but North Korea did not receive it.
